Preparing For Your Boudoir Photographs
Many people find the thought of having their photograph taken quite nerve wracking and boudoir photographs more so than most! This page is designed to give you a list you can print out to help you when preparing for your boudoir photographs – so when panic drives everything out of your mind you only have one thing to remember: this list! If this is part of your wedding preparations then chances are you have a million other things to think about. Try to have fun with these photos; it will show in the pictures.
A Few Days Before
- Get your hair done
- Treat yourself to a manicure/pedicure
- Choose what you are going to wear:
- Don’t forget Lingerie / Shoes / Accessories
- If you have bought new things then remove the labels and/or stickers.
- If its not new, make sure it has been through the laundry.
- If you are travelling to a studio, choose some lose fitting clothes to travel in (nothing that leaves elastic marks on your skin). A top that buttons/zips up at the front is a good idea as you can get changed without disturbing your hair.
- Make-up: if you are planning a new look for the shoot practice it now, so that you will be less stressed on the day and you can discover any products you are missing in time to get more.
A Few Hours Before
- Give yourself time to have a nice relaxing bath. Pamper yourself and let yourself mentally become the calm, confident goddess you want to see looking back at you from these photos.
- Shave anything that needs shaving!
- One final check of Lingerie / Shoes / Accessories and pack it all into a bag.
- Do your hair
- Do your makeup
- You look fabulous! Blow yourself a kiss in the mirror, grab your bag and go for it!
- Oops – go back and put some clothes on…
Allow a little more time than you think you’ll need for all of this. Don’t let time become a stress factor! And if you are travelling to a studio, aim to arrive a bit early.
