This is a stunning boudoir portrait by a photographer I had the pleasure of meeting on one of our shoots in the Dordogne. Happily it didn't take much arm twisting to get him to submit a few pictures to the visitors gallery.

The hair and make up in this shot are outstanding, creating an incredibly glamourous image. Add that to the model's relaxed pose looking up towards the light and this is very evocative of the stylish portraits you used to see of movie stars like Bette Davis in the 50's.

The photo was taken on a Canon 50D and an 80mm lens. I'm pretty sure this was done with studio flash - with an aperture of f11, 1/125th of a second shutter speed and ISO100.
