Photoshop
Image editing is an essential part of digital boudoir photography. There are lots of excellent sites on the internet which will walk you through individual techniques, but here I am going to outline my typical workflow.
At this stage I am only going to highlight the main steps I take and that I use on a daily basis. The whole process shown below took about 5 minutes.
Starting point
A fairly average shot taken on an entry level DSLR (Canon EOS 350D / Digital Rebel) with a basic EF-S 17-85mm lens.
Lighting is from a smallish window in limited space.
Focal length 85mm, ISO1600, f5.6, 1/100th second.
The composition is reasonable and I like Katie's expression but the picture lacks impact.
