Nude Photo Gallery

Nude photo background: this is from a studio shoot with Laura. We were using quite harsh, directional lighting and in this shot I was trying to a get dramatic, symmetrical pose. This was my favourite of the bunch; I like the triangular composition and the way that this pose would be very rude, were it not for the shadows.
Technical Information
Camera: Canon EOS 5D Mark II DSLR
Lens: EF 50mm f1.2L
Exposure: f8, 1/160, ISO100
Lighting
Single studio lights above the model - a form of side lighting really.
Post Processing (Photoshop)
All of the processing on this shot was done in Aperture3 rather than Adobe Photoshop. The basic steps were:
- conversion to Black & White,
- inverted S Curves adjustment (as the light was above the model, her face and shoulders were quite a lot brighter than her thighs so the inverted S Curve balances this by reducing the contrast a little).
- Lastly I sepia toned the photo to add back a bit of warmth, which I thought suited the nude subject.
