Boudoir/Nude Photography Gallery

Boudoir photography gallery background: this was from my first shoot with Melanie. She had never done any photographs like this before and was quite nervous.

As suggested in first posing tips for boudoir photographs we started with poses where she didn't look directly into the lens, and this is one of those.

Technical Information

Camera: Canon EOS 40D DSLR

Lens: EF24-70f2.8L at 44mm

Exposure: f2.8, 1/50, ISO100

Lighting

Window light from the right and a burst of fill flash (-1ev) to fill in shadows a bit.

Post Processing (Photoshop)

No Photoshop work at all; post processing was carried out entirely in Aperture 3 and consisted of a boost to the exposure, a Skin Smoothing adjustment and a slight vignette effect. This might mark a bit of a departure for me; I am used to doing these steps in Photoshop, but the Aperture approach was simple and quite fast plus it also makes it possible to apply the same steps to other shots in the series in a single click - which would obviously be a major time saver!
