This is a good example of a boudoir photograph that has been saved by Adobe Photoshop!
The original image was a bit flat and boring, but Ashley looked so good that it was worth the extra effort in Photoshop to give it a bit more life:
- The colour balance has been altered as the original photo looked too warm in the late evening light.
- The contrast level has been increased in two Curves Layers - one selectively darkening certain areas and another adding highlights down the side of her body which is facing the window.
- The eyes have been brightened a little bit and the skin smoothed a bit under her eyes.
- A vignette effect has been used to focus attention on the middle of the photograph.
- Finally, a Photoshop Render Lighting Effect filter has been used to create the spotlight effect on the wall behind her. Originally the back wall was flatly lit and I think this bit of creative licence helps the photo.
