About David Quinn

I have taken pictures for as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is of my father letting me use his precious Minolta SLR, and when we got the film back he encouraged me to examine the results and work out how the pictures could have been better - and I think that's a journey I am still on to this day!

My photography was the usual mixture of landscapes, still life and family mug-shots up until about 15 years ago (as I write this in 2009) when I nervously joined a local glamour photography club. Glamour/nude photography was an area I was vaguely interested in, but as much as anything else I was looking for an opportunity to take more photographs and mix with other photographers so that my own pictures would improve. I would probably have never tried this fascinating branch of photography had it not been for the group.

I could not have predicted the hold that it would take on me. I am now fortunate enough to have my own modest studio where I spend as much time as family commitments will allow. As well as now generating a small income, I find this style of photography to be a tremendous creative outlet and utterly absorbing.

Above all else, I hope this website will give others the confidence to experience the same thing.
